Pharmacy Education Promises Growth

In New Jersey and the rest of the country, all forms of pharmacy degrees are considered graduate degrees because doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) is the only pharmacy degree to be really recognized. So, when one person graduates with a pharmacy education, he gets that PharmD degree.
In Rutgers University’s Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, the prospective students are provided with several admissions options. They can admit students straight from high school or after having completed and undergraduate degree. The school also offers dual degree options, combining PharmD with degrees such as an MBA, a Masters of Public Health, or even a PhD.

Like other pharmacy schools, Rutgers is very selective. In 2011, it only admitted about a third of direct-from-high school applicants, though a previous article stated only 10%.
Health care, as a whole, is experiencing some changes. So pharmacy training tries to keep up with those changes. So, Rutgers’ students are offered a wide range of training in several areas of growth. The school is also aware of the competitiveness of the pharmacy industry job market. Graduates are prepared for later competing for a position. They are given enough understanding about health care needs; their clinical experience is also very comprehensive. Rutgers’ students also get enough training in improving their communication and research skills.
